Kettering Health Network is NOW LIVE with the ESO Health Data Exchange (HDE) at all twelve of our emergency departments. To keep things simple we have patterned our workflow from the ESO recommended best practices that are also in use at Premier Health facilities. EMS providers will receive a patient label which you can scan into the PCR using a handheld scanner in the EMS room or the camera on your documentation device. Those with an existing ESO Portal login will use those same credentials to see patient outcome data from transports to KHN facilities along with those from any other HDE participating hospital. Your normal EMS Outreach team members are available to answer any questions that may come up so please feel free to reach out if questions arise.
We are also NOW LIVE with ESO Alerting (previously branded as “TrackEMS”), a mobile app-based prehospital communication system. This is a powerful tool to transmit a patient report complete with photos and videos in a secure, privacy protected way. The best part - there is no cost for an agency to deploy and use ESO Alerting To learn more about this tool check out the following link:
