ANNOUNCEMENT

Ohio law authorizes state agencies to adopt, amend, or rescind rules in accordance with Chapter 119. of the Revised Code (RC).

Three medical transportation rules were final filed with the Joint Committee on Agency Rule Review (JCARR) on March 17, 2020 and will become effective on April 1, 2020.

The three amended rules can be viewed at The Register of Ohio:

4766-2-08

Vehicle inspections and equipment requirements.

4766-3-13 

Driver training and qualifications.

4766-4-09

Maintenance documentation.

Amendments include a clarification that passenger assistance training courses for ambulette employees will be completed once every three years and a correction to the number of miles a higher-mileage mobile intensive care vehicle may accumulate between periodic mechanical safety inspections.
