As the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve, our top priority remains being a safe environment to protect all providers, so we can continue providing high-quality care to our patients. The health of our providers contributes to the safety of our environment. Effective today, March 20, we are screening all employees, EMS providers, and visitors as they enter our facilities. This decision supports the governor’s recent request and CDC recommendations regarding screenings.
Screening will consist of three questions and a temperature.
The questions are:
- Do you have a new cough or a change in a chronic cough?
- Do you have difficulty breathing/shortness of breath?
- If you were ill, have you been fever and symptom free for 24 hours, without the use of fever reducing or other symptom-altering medicines (e.g., cough suppressants)?
Do not hesitate to reach out to your EMS coordinator for any questions.
