City of Xenia Position Announcements:
FIREFIGHTER/PARAMEDIC
LATERAL ENTRY
The City of Xenia is accepting applicants for lateral entry Firefighter/Paramedic positions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
o Must be a citizen of the United States;
o Must be at least 18 years old at the time of appointment;
o Must hold a high school diploma or equivalent;
o Must be certified with the State of Ohio as a Level II Firefighter;
o Must be certified with the State of Ohio as a Paramedic;
o Must be able to obtain Fire Safety Inspector certification within six months of appointment;
o Must hold current CPAT (Candidate Physical Ability Testing) card or equivalent at time of appointment;
o Must hold a valid Ohio driver's license and be insurable under the City insurance;
o Must be of good character with a good credit rating and no police record of arrests for a felony or a misdemeanor involving violence or moral turpitude.
