#GMVEMSC: RE: EMS Agencies Transporting into Dayton During Vigils/Protests

Due to vigils/protests taking place in the City of Dayton (and around the nation) there continue to be traffic disruptions, including multiple surface streets, especially downtown Dayton intersections.  Montgomery County Regional Dispatch (RDC) has agreed to provide assistance for EMS coming to hospitals in the City.

Through the rest of tonight (Sunday), we suggest EMS coming to any hospital in Dayton contact RDC on MARCS Talk Group 57Ops99 (Montgomery County Ops 99), or by telephone to 937-333-USAR (8727), and ask one question:

  • “We are en route to ________ hospital.  Are there any problems on ___________ (e.g., I-75, Route 35, S. Main St., etc.)?”

Please keep this communication as brief as feasible.  This is a very fluid situation; crowds have moved from 35 to 75, and elsewhere, and multiple intersections have had to be closed.  Contact RDC while you’re still a few minutes out, and be diligent.
