Last month our region hosted a “train-the-trainer” program covering the Surgenet MCI page, Quarterly Triage Days, and OHTrac, among other things. The slide deck for the program is now available for download. You can find the slide deck on the GMVEMSC.org Training Resources page under “Surgenet / OHTrac Training”:
http://gmvemsc.org/training.html The slide deck will also be on GDAHA’s website.
BTW, you can download and use the PowerPoint presentation even if you didn’t attend the class! The program covers regional mass casualty incident (MCI) communications systems to help your personnel be prepared for a real-world MCI. There are answers to common questions about Triage Tags (and why we’re starting to refer to them as “Treatment Tags”), how it’s easier and more effective to use the Surgenet MCI page than a Transport Worksheet during an MCI, and why OHTrac is better, faster, and easier than using the Transport Officer Log.
The training was put on by Greater Dayton Area Hospital Association (GDAHA) and Dayton MMRS in concert with the Greater Miami Valley EMS Council and Miami Valley Fire/EMS Alliance Communications Committees, and was hosted by Kettering Health Network and Soin Medical Center.
Download and start using the PowerPoint!
