Upcoming Closures
According to the Ohio Department of Transportation, the following closures are planned near downtown:
- Main Street Bridge (SR 48 between Monument and Riverview) - Bridge closed July 11 and 12 and July 19-22. The official detour is: northbound - SR 48 to Monument Avenue to Great Miami Boulevard to SR 48, southbound - Great Miami Boulevard to Riverside Drive to Second Street to SR 48.
- US 35 East Ramp to I-75 South - Ramp closure July 12-14 and July 22-24. The official detour is: US 35 East to Steve Whalen Boulevard exit to US 35 West.
Other Downtown Roads to Be Closed for Weekend Events
A few portions of downtown roads will be temporarily closed this weekend to accommodate the Dayton Strong Benefit Concert at RiverScape MetroPark (Saturday), as well as the Dayton Blues Festival at Levitt Pavilion (Sunday).
Following are the scheduled street closures, provided by Five Rivers MetroParks and the City of Dayton.
From 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, July 13:
- Monument Avenue from Jefferson Street to Patterson Boulevard
- St. Clair Street from Monument Avenue to First Street
- Harries Street from Monument Avenue to the parking garage entrance
From 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday, July 14:
- Fourth Street between Main and Jefferson streets
- Jefferson Street between Fourth and Fifth streets
