On Friday, I was notified by Dayton Children’s Hospital (DCH) that the 19A Dawn of a New Day DCH Full-Scale Exercise (FSE) needed to be postponed. Given all of the highly stressful, real world events that have taken place in Dayton and across the Miami Valley, they determined that now is not the proper time to be exercising and evaluating yet another stressful event. As our personnel and community attempt to return to normalcy, DCH, GDAHA, MMRS, and SORTS, along with multiple public safety agencies, will be working to reschedule the FSE.
We realize that there have been multiple exercise postponements in the last few months. In all cases, these are temporary delays, not cancelations. Thanks very much for your feedback and understanding.
Once again, the exercise is postponed, not canceled. We will let you know when we have more information.
