The Greater Dayton Area Hospital Association is partnering with the Ohio Hospital Association, the Greater Miami Valley EMS Council, and Public Health Dayton & Montgomery County's Community Overdose Action Team to bring the

FIRST focuses on burnout, resilience, and vicarious trauma to hospitals and first responders hit hardest by the opioid epidemic. Dr. Kenneth R. Yeager, a nationally-recognized expert on resilience and trauma-informed care, will present the interdisciplinary training. Kenneth R. Yeager, Ph.D., LISW is a clinical professor in the College of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and also serves as Director of the Stress, Trauma, and Resilience (STAR) program.

This 3-hour training is limited to Fire, EMS, Law Enforcement, Nurses, Physicians, and other community first responders in the Dayton region. This presentation is not open to the public in order to provide a safe space for staff, clinicians, and first responders to discuss burnout and vicarious trauma in an open way.
