UPDATED APPLICATION DEADLINE
Dear Rural Paramedic Providers of Ohio:
As a result of surveys conducted last year with rural Ohio EMS providers by The Paramedic Foundation (TPF), the Ohio Division of EMS and the State Office of Rural Health identified that availability of quality continuing education was among the top rural EMS issues facing Ohio. Late in 2018, the federal government provided supplemental HRSA funding through the Medicare Rural Hospital Flexibility Grant Program. Ohio was one of several states who applied for and was awarded supplemental funding in support of rural EMS issues.
We are now pleased to announce an opportunity for rural Ohio Paramedic providers to apply for a free Paramedic Refresher Training Program delivered by the Paramedic Network and The Paramedic Foundation! A total of 150 rural Paramedics will be chosen to receive this free training, but you need to act quickly. In order to be considered, you will need to navigate to The Paramedic Foundation’s website and follow the directions provided at http://paramedicfoundation.org/Ohio. THE NEW DEADLINE IS JUNE 17, 2019. The Paramedic Foundation and the Paramedic Network will notify you of your selection and provide all additional information concerning this educational opportunity.
In addition, The Paramedic Foundation and Community Partners will provide in-person and webinar-based continuing professional development and educational opportunities this summer at no cost to EMTs, AEMTs, and Paramedics.
