The City of Monroe Fire Department will be hosting a Fire Safety Inspector Class starting April 2nd.

 

Captain Mark Walsh from Colerain Fire Department will be instructing the class.

Classes times are scheduled from 8:00am until 5:00pm as outlined above

 

Cost $575.00*

 

Learn from the experts! In this class, students learn the skills necessary to conduct fire safety inspections confidently from a team of talented and well experienced instructors. Participants will gain an understanding of the fire inspector's role in code enforcement, requirements related to egress, electrical systems, fire protection systems and much more. This class meets certification requirements established by the Ohio Department of Public Safety and NFPA 1031 –The Standard for Fire Inspector Professional Qualifications. To become certified, students must attend all classes and pass both written and practical examinations, including the Division of EMS Fire Safety Inspector certification examination to be given at the completion of the course. Mark has been teaching fire code and fire protecting programs in the State of Ohio for over 15 years for both the Fire Code Academy and the State Fire Academy. Mark has received high ratings and evaluations from fire inspectors, fire fighters and fire chiefs who have attended his classes and our training programs.

Mandatory - Students must have with them on the first day of class: the 2017 Ohio Fire Code Book and the 8th Edition IFSTA Fire Inspection and Code Enforcement Text Book (these two books are NOT provided as part of the course fee)
