The Kettering Health Network cardiac service line is gearing up for the 19^th Annual Benjamin Schuster, MD, Colloquium on February 20^th. I would like to extend an invitation to you if you are interested in learning more about AFib. This event offers 3.5 CEs. Cost is $25 for EMS which includes parking and lunch. Cost: $1,719 (with textbooks) or $1,445 ( without textbooks)

 

Classes: Tuesday (1800-2200 Hrs), Thursday (1800-2200 Hrs), and Saturday (0800-1200); totaling 10 Hours per week for 16 weeks.

 

Clinical Hours: 30 hours ER, 30 Hours/20 Runs 911.

 

Requirements: EMT-B, Immunization history, Flu shot, TB testing, drug screen, and criminal background check prior to starting clinical and field rotations (There are extra costs to these requirements).

Firefighter/Paramedic

Lateral Entry

 

The City of Xenia is accepting applicants for lateral entry firefighter/paramedic positions.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

•             Must be a citizen of the United States;

•             Must be at least 18 years old at time of appointment;

•             Must hold high school diploma or equivalent;

•             Must be certified with the State of Ohio as a Level II Firefighter;

•             Must be certified with the State of Ohio as a Paramedic;

•             Must be able to obtain Fire Safety Inspector certification within six months of appointment;

•             Must hold current CPAT (Candidate Physical Ability Testing) card or equivalent at time of appointment;

•             Must hold a valid Ohio driver’s license and be insurable under the City’s insurance;

•             Must be of good character with a good credit rating and no police record of arrests for a felony or a misdemeanor involving violence or moral turpitude.
