North Main Street Bridge and Alternatives:
Traffic on and around the Main Street bridge will be significantly slowed - due to construction on the bridge, traffic is limited to one lane in each direction. The bridge will close to all traffic during the fireworks display (southbound traffic will be diverted onto Riverview Avenue). After the fireworks, both lanes will reopen only to northbound traffic; southbound traffic will continue to divert to Riverview.
Street Closures
As a reminder, several downtown streets closed this morning, and will remain closed through tonight, until the fire marshal inspects the fireworks display site after the show. Those closures include:
- Riverside between White Allen and Monument
- Patterson between Monument and First
- Monument between Water Street and Jefferson
- St. Clair and Harries between Monument and First
Additional closures later in the day/evening to accommodate the fireworks display will include:
- The Webster Street bridge will be closed to all traffic for safety.
