Miami Valley Hospital Update
As Miami Valley Hospital services expand there will be a few construction projects & changes that will impact EMS starting today, June 27, 2018.
1. MVH EMS Room: The EMS room will be expanding. During the construction some of the room and computers will not be able to be used temporarily. There will additional computers available in the dictation room between rooms 5 &6 if all the computers in the EMS room are being used. See map below or perch nurse for location. As part of the expansion project, the dirty utility room (the room to the left of the EMS room) has been permanently closed. The biohazard & trash containers have been relocated to a keypad locker outside the EMS sliding doors (see attached picture). There is also a new backboard washer located near Hazmat Garage. If you would like to use backboard washer please ask an ED staff member for assistance.
2. MVH EMS Entrance off Main Street: Employee parking lot located at Apple St. & Main St. has been permanently closed to build new new rehab is the Rehabilitation Institute of Ohio, a joint venture with Encompass Health. Some employees will now be parking at the old Fairgrounds and use crosswalk on Main St. at EMS Entrance stop light and walking on side walk to hospital entrance. Please be aware of change in pedestrian traffic.
3. MVH Ambulance Parking: The white CompuNet vehicles will no longer be using the ambulance entrance/parking area. This will help alleviate some of the congestion in this area.
4. EMS Coordinators Office: MVH EMS Coordinator Offices have moved from ED Administration. The new offices are located near Central Supply. If you are standing at Central Supply the EMS Coordinators offices are just over your left shoulder. Look for signage in the hallway.
5. MVH Room Numbers: Some room numbers have changed. Additional signage has been added.
