Premier Health is continuing to expand our EMS Center of Excellence and is adding EMS coordinators. The EMS Coordinator is a part of the Premier Health EMS Center of Excellence, and functions as a strategic liaison between our eight emergency departments and our EMS providers within a 17-county area. Working in conjunction with our trauma centers; including the Level I center at MVH, and our CareFlight Air & Mobile program; the EMS coordinator functions to plan and coordinate all aspects of pre-hospital outreach. Specific functions include providing educational offerings, assisting medical directors, developing and monitoring quality improvement programs, and coordinating care between prehospital and Emergency department staff to ensure the highest quality care.
