KEYNOTE SPEAKER

Dr. CallowayClifton W. Callaway, MD, PhD

Dr. Callaway is Professor, Vice-Chair, and Ronald D. Stewart Endowed Chair in Emergency Medicine Research at the University of Pittsburgh. His clinical research is particularly focused on improving brain recovery after resuscitation.  Dr. Callaway is an investigator for the Resuscitations Outcome Consortium, the Neurological Emergencies Treatment Trial network, and the new SIREN emergency research trial network.  He is immediate past chair of the American Heart Association Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) Committee and past co-chair of the Advanced Life Support Task Force for the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR).

SYMPOSIUM DETAILS

This program is designed to provide emergency and critical care clinicians and resuscitation professionals with the most recent resuscitation science and research.  Our goal is to reach providers across the region to support resuscitation efforts and share knowledge of recent science, with theaim of improving resuscitation processes and survival rates.

AMA Credit Designation Statement - Physicians
The American Heart Association designates this live activity for a maximum of 7.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.  Physicians should claim only the creditcommensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
**AMA Credit must be claimed within 6 months ofattendance. Credit will no longer be available to claim after August 1, 2018

AAPA Credit Designation Statement - Physicians Assistants
AAPA accepts certificates of participation for educational activities certified for AMA PRA Category 1Credit™ from organizations accredited by ACCME or a recognized state medical society. Physician assistants may receive a maximum of 7.50 hours of Category I credit for completing this program.

ANNP Credit Designation Statement - Nurses Practitioners  
American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) accepts AMA PRACategory 1 CreditTM from organizations accredited by the ACCME.

ANCC Credit Designation Statement - Nurses
The maximum number of hours awarded for this CE activity is 7.50 contact hours.

ACPE Credit Designation Statement - Pharmacists
ACPE Credit: 7.50 Contact Hours.  Universal Activity Number: J0000134-0000-18-002-L04-P
**ACPE Credit must be claimed within 30 days of participation. ACPE credit will no longer be available to claim after March 1,2018. 

Continuing Education Accreditation - Emergency Medical Services
This continuing education activity is approved by the American Heart Association, an organization accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Pre-Hospital Continuing Education (CAPCE),for 7.50 Advanced CEHs, activity number 18-AMHA-F1-0002. By claiming CAPCE credit, the claimant acknowledges the following: I understand that the American Heart Association as a requirement of CAPCE accreditation will submit a record of my course completions to the CAPCE AMS. I further understand that my course completion records may be accessed by or shared with such regulators as state EMS offices, training officers, and NREMT on a password-protected, need-to-know basis. In addition, I understand that I may review my record of CAPCE-accredited course completions by contacting CAPCE.
