For more than four decades, the nation has recognized its emergency medical services clinicians during EMS Week. This year, President Biden issued a proclamation continuing that tradition and calling on Americans to "to express their appreciation for our Nation’s EMS providers — and to bring greater safety to their lives, and to all of our lives, by getting vaccinated to help bring an end to the COVID-19 pandemic." Read the proclamation. "Through service, compassion, and dedication, EMS providers represent the very best of the American spirit," the president continued. "In the face of unprecedented challenges, their expertise, endurance, and hard work have been a literal lifeline for families in every community." And don't forget to watch this special EMS Week message from the team at the NHTSA Office of EMS. Thank you for everything you do to care for your communities. |
