8:30am to 9:00am – Registration & Donuts/ Juice/Coffee at North Star Community Center.
9:00am to 9:05 am – Welcome & Introduction at North Star Community Center.
9:05am to 10:00am-Ag Chemicals Beyond Anhydrous Ammonia-Learn about farm chemicals, storage, uses/time of year used, health hazards, Material Safety Data and Stream Hazards Taught by Darke OSU Extension Agent-Sam Custer at North Star Community Center.
10:00am to 10:15am-Darke County Hazmat at North Star Community Center.
10:15am to 10:45am-Learn about modern agriculture building structures from Alex Weaver and Justin Feltz of Weaver Brothers Eggs of Versailles. Learn how the buildings are built, conveyor systems, above and below ground aspects of the barn at North Star Community Center.
10:45am to 11:30am-Manure Storage Safety -Learn about different types of manure storage options and dangers related to each, taught by Dr Dee Jespen, The Ohio State University Safety Specialist at North Star Community Center.
11:30am to 12:15pm-Free Lunch Sponsored by Versailles FFA and Local Sponsors at North Star Community Center.
12:15pm to 1:00pm – Travel to Buschur Farms and get ready for rotations. Buschur Farms 5 minutes from North Star Community Center.

1:00pm to 1:45pm-Rotation #1
1:45pm to 2:30pm – Rotation # 2
2:30pm to 3:15pm – Rotation # 3
3:15 pm – Evaluations and Presentation of CEU’s
Rotation #1: Rollover/Entrapment Scenario/PTO Safety-
Taught by Versailles Fire Department and North Star Fire Department.
Rotation #2: Farm Electrical Hazards & Safety-Taught by Ryan Buschur of Southwest Automation & Electrician/Lieutenant Wagner.
Rotation # 3: Hands on Demonstration of Modern Agriculture Equipment-Learn how it works and safety concerns from local mechanics/farmers and firefighters.
